Enterprise Learning Library Project Summary

The Enterprise Learning Library is a centralized learning hub designed to organize and deliver a wide range of training resources, including eLearning modules, job aids, instructional videos, and performance support materials. Developed to improve knowledge accessibility and support self-directed learning, the library enables employees to quickly locate the resources they need to build skills and perform their roles effectively.

Business Challenge

The department lacked a centralized location for training resources, making it difficult for employees to locate learning materials and performance support when they needed them. Training content existed across multiple formats and locations, which created inefficiencies and limited opportunities for self-directed learning.

My Role

I designed and developed a centralized Enterprise Learning Library to organize and house a wide range of learning resources. My responsibilities included identifying and curating relevant training materials, structuring the content for easy navigation, and ensuring the library supported employees’ ongoing learning and performance needs in addition to developing a governance plan.

My Approach

I began by reviewing existing training resources and identifying opportunities to consolidate materials into a single, accessible location. I categorized content into clear learning topics and formats, including eLearning modules, job aids, videos, and other performance support materials, to ensure employees could quickly locate the resources most relevant to their needs. I also collaborated with stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure training selections were impactful and current.

The Solution

The final solution was a department-wide Enterprise Learning Library that provides a centralized hub for a variety of learning resources. The library allows employees to easily access eLearning modules, job aids, videos, and additional training materials, supporting both structured learning and just-in-time performance support. The Impact

The Enterprise Learning Library improved accessibility to training resources and provided employees with a streamlined way to find learning materials when they need them. By centralizing resources in one location, the library supports ongoing skill development and encourages self-directed learning across the department. Currently the training library is available for 270+ employees to benefit from.
